So, after our vacation, I stopped posting. A LOT has happened since then. We have allowed 3 extra adults 2 kids to stay with us and two dogs. I'm not kidding, it's been super rough and stressful. Pretty soon, we'll have the house back to ourselves and I will be absolutely ecstatic.
As far as training for the Turkey Trot--well, it didn't happen. We walked a bit in Florida/New Orleans, but when we got back home, there was so much going on with the extra people/drama with that, we just fell off schedule and never got back on. I'm sad to admit, our training never got past the begining of week 3.
On the bright side, we still did the Turkey Trot.
Did we finish in the goal of 35minutes? No.
Did we finish in the secondary goal of 45 minutes? Nope
Did we even run it? Not really
Did we finish in 52minutes, walking and kind of jogging with a double stroller? Sure did!
And really, that's all I wanted to do anyway...finish.
We're thinking about doing the NYE run @ Belle Isle...but we'll see!

Our goal for next year's trot is to beat Mike's 10K time! Hhahahah

ReplyDeletenever knew belle isle did a NYE run... be careful!!!! I hope that ones not at nighttime.... LOL last time I was at belle isle I hope all the black cops following me since I was white... and it made me feel really uncomfortable!
